AQTF - Plan, Do, Check & Act will provide attendees with practical training in the following areas:

Unpack AQTF Essential Conditions & Standards for Continuing Registration (July 2010 edition)

Participate in practical, hands-on activities

Create implementation strategies

Develop continuous improvement policies and procedures

Apply risk management techniques

Act on internal auditing evidence

Draw on the knowledge of industry experts
As part of the workshop, all attendees will form part of an 'AQTF Think Tank' to brainstorm policies and procedures. VELG will collate this information, then create and distribute an Internal Audit Checklist & Policy and Procedure Manual to all attendees.

Designing & Developing Assessment Tools
A two-day professional development opportunity
Day One (9.00am - 3.00pm)
Day One of Designing and Developing Assessment Tools will provide attendees with practical training in the following areas:

Design assessment tools

Choose the appropriate assessment method/s

Develop assessment tools

Quality checks
Day Two (9.00am - 3.00pm)
Day Two of Designing and Developing Assessment Tools will provide attendees with practical and technical training on how to design and develop assessment tools/instruments for a unit of competency you currently work with at your organisation.This session will involve attendees interpreting the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) guidelines that specify the characteristics and distinguishing features of learning outcomes at different AQF levels.
Based on the interpretation and discussion of the features, benefits and limitations of a range of assessment methods attendees will choose appropriate assessment methods to suit the AQF level of the unit of competency they have brought with them. Finally they will then apply this information, and the learning from day one to the practical development of an assessment tool based on a unit of competence they currently work with.
